Midwives

In Nancy, the maternity ward of the CHRU welcomes all pregnancies, from the simplest to the most risky. The director Carine Lefebvre-Quennell immerses us in the birth room as well as in the gynecological and obstetrical emergencies, day and night, as close as possible to the midwives, their gestures, their intimate words. Joy, suffering, the pink of layettes or the black of dramatic stories… Midwives face, endure or break down, caught between their visceral love of the profession and the difficulty of practicing it within our health system in the midst of a crisis.
